Come join us for our annual Poker Run Fundriaser! Its a great excuse to fly your airplane, have fun, possibly win some great prizes, and support the Tampa Bay Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. Your participation help us keep our planes in the air.
Here's how it works:
Each aircraft will depart KLAL and fly 1 of 2 defined courses passing over 4 waypoints and the return to KLAL for the 5th waypoint. Each route is approximately 100NM and will be issued to the PIC before departure during the safety briefing.
As much as possible, flights will be verified using ADSB data or breadcrumb options on a flight app. For each waypoint overflown, players will select one card from the deck (for a maximum of 5 cards). This will represent their poker hand.
Participants may arrive in KLAL, receive their route, and fly the route anytime between 8:00am and 11:00am. Plan your flight in order to get back to KLAL by 11:30am at the latest. At 12noon participants will gather to reveal their hands and determine the winners. As part of the fundraising, there will be food/drinks and merchandise for sale after your flight while waiting for prizes to be awarded.
Winners will be ranked according to their poker hands. In the event of any ties, a high card draw will take place between those participants. Winners will be able to choose their prize beginning with the participant with the best hand, so you'll want to stick around for the awarding of prizes.

While you are here:
We hope to have both of our warbirds on display, along with other aircraft. Our PT-19 should be out of its new paint job, and we are hopeful to have our "Ike's Bird" former Air Force One out of maintenance and on display as well.
Take this opportunity to interact with our member volunteers and learn more about the Commemorative Air Force and maybe you'll consider becoming a member. This event will coincide with our regular monthly meeting, so you should have the chance to meet a lot of our staff and members.
Registration:
Because of limited ramp space, registration is being limited to 50 aircraft, so if you are interested, Register Now!.
The registration fee is $50 for each person in your group who wants to play a hand. Multiple players in each airplane are allowed, welcome, and encouraged... so bring your friends!
