The Tampa Bay Wing of the Commemorative Air Force operates from Lakeland Linder International Airport where our aircraft are hangered at Sun n Fun hangars. We showcase our historic aircraft, participate in airshows and other events, and offer the public rides in both a WWII military trainer as well as a former Air Force One aircraft.

Join the Tampa Bay Wing. In 2024, we were the fastest growing unit in the CAF. We grew by 49%! We are a group of aviation enthusiasts who help maintain these historic aircraft. You do not have to be an aircraft mechanic or pilot to join but have a desire to preserve and present the Tampa Bay Wing and CAF-HQ aircraft to the public. "Ike's Bird" Needs Your Help!

"Ike's Bird," a former Air Force One aircraft for President Eisenhower, is a 1955 L-26B Aero Commander. Her current mission is to educate the public, inspire future generations, and honor our veterans. Today that mission is in jeopardy. During her annual inspection in March 2026, corrosion was discovered in the right wing, requiring extensive structural repairs to ensure the aircraft remains safe to fly. At the same time, her original 1955 fuel tanks, which have served faithfully for more than 70 years, have reached the end of their service life and must be replaced. With your help, we can complete these critical repairs and return Ike's Bird to the skies where she belongs. Help us keep history flying with your tax deductible donation.
